Location

The WordCamp is organized in collaboration with the University of Pisa and the Department of Computer Science, which is providing the space for Contributor Day.

Located just a short walk from the historic city center, the Department of Computer Science was chosen to bring the event closer to the student community that frequents its classrooms.

The welcoming common areas provide the perfect setting for knowledge sharing and interaction among participants from a variety of backgrounds.

The Contributor Day will take place at the Department of Computer Science on November 21, on the second floor of Building C. The complex where the Contributor Day is hosted is called the Fibonacci Campus, and the streets surrounding it are not within the ZTL (Limited Traffic Zone), so it can be reached by car or public transport. There are street parking options available and a large free parking lot nearby. You can find its location on the map below.

The Carmignani Campus, nestled between the historic Piazza dei Cavalieri and the ancient city walls, will provide a more picturesque and institutional setting for the plenary sessions and side events. This architectural complex, rich in history and charm, will give the event a unique atmosphere, blending academic culture with the beauty of Pisa’s heritage. Both locations are easily accessible on foot and well-connected to the city’s main public transport options.

The Conference Day will take place at the Carmignani Campus on November 22. The campus is easily reachable on foot from Piazza dei Cavalieri by entering the gate that leads to the Martiri University Canteen and immediately turning right. The area is within the ZTL (Limited Traffic Zone), so it’s advisable to park outside and reach Piazza dei Cavalieri either on foot or by public transport. You can find the map below.

It is possible to request a temporary pass for people with disabilities and for non-residents of Pisa. All the information is available on the Pisa Mo website.
