Taco Verdonschot has been part of the WordPress community for over 12 years. He calls himself a web generalist, with experience across development, SEO, content, accessibility, customer support, and community.

That wide-ranging experience comes into play every week on Site Spotlight, the YouTube series he co-hosts. In each episode, Taco and his co-hosts review real websites from the WordPress Showcase or submitted by WordPress users. They offer hands-on, constructive feedback on everything from design and structure to performance and accessibility. The recurring issues uncovered in these reviews form the core of his talk at WordCamp Pisa 2025.

Taco also works on Progress Planner, a WordPress plugin that helps site owners stay active and engaged. It encourages small, five-minute tasks that build momentum over time. Whether you’re maintaining a personal blog or running a business site, Progress Planner helps you make consistent progress without feeling overwhelmed.

In the broader WordPress project, Taco contributes as a Global Translation Editor for Dutch and serves as a Community Team program and event supporter. He was also one of the organizers of WordPress Accessibility Day 2025, and has been co-organizer of various WordCamps. He lives in the Netherlands with his amazing wife and daughters.
